Look the Look with Photos or Video
“A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words”
However, this all sounds great but you can’t feel the feel if you haven’t first learnt the look and this is where I want to present the 12 most common and distinctly different contact moves to master. This will be through progressive photographs, graphics and explanations.
Once you as a coach feel you can easily recognize the contact moves (as shown in the next series of blogs)… I am a big fan of creating your own video library of all the contact moves being taught.
Create a separate folder under the same heading i.e. clips of different professional players demonstrating the same moves. You will find that this not only reinforces that the moves are used by pro players, but also motivates your players to master the Serena Williams 2 Foot pivot, or Rodger Federer Front foot hop or Novak Djokovic Loaded Transfer move etc.
A great website to create a video library from is called www.tennisplayer.net!
