TCPR Technology and Digital Media Specialist
The Program
Dr. Brian Gordon invites intellectually motivated and goal oriented individuals to apply for the Technology and Digital Media Specialist internship. The program is intended for individuals interested in educational and (potentially) career paths in the Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine or within the Tennis industry. Interns should be high school juniors or seniors (high school sophomores and undergraduate college students considered) and be able to work in Boca Raton, FL for 10-15 hours/week on a variable schedule. Special consideration will be given to competitive tennis athletes with a minimum 9.0 UTR.
General Description
Interns will participate in all areas of TCPR operations. In general, this is a non-compensated program. However, for participation in revenue generating services provided by Dr. Gordon and TCPR, interns will receive compensation in the form of hourly renumeration. Interns will be required to become proficient in the theory and application of Sport Science to tennis player development. This includes Biomechanics, Physiology, Motor Control and Cognitive Neuroscience. Interns will also be expected to design and conduct a research project intended for publication. The project should focus on application of sport science to player development.
Internship Activities
Interns may expect to participate in (at least) the following activities as part of TCPR operations and services:
- Assistance in all aspects of instructional video production .
- Assistance in technical article production for the TCPR web site .
- Set up and operation of the research grade 3D Motion Capture System.
- Assistance in data collection for other Sport Science applications.
- Assistance in report preparation for TCPR Sport Science applications.

Internships are offered on a yearly basis and no more than two slots are available.
