TCPR Serve Rx
The Prescription
The Serve Development Prescription
The serve is arguably the most important shot in tennis. It is also perhaps the most complex motion in all of sport (The Most Complex Motion in Sport?). This could be why it is very misunderstood and not extensively addressed in many training programs.
The result is that serving is a severe limitation to many otherwise accomplished players at ALL levels of competition. Dr. Brian Gordon has done the research, has tested the theories, and has designed and implemented the programs to produce dramatic improvement.
The Serve Rx is a laser-focussed intensive program to master the mechanical building blocks needed to create a high level serve. The program translates advanced concepts of tennis biomechanics to gain tangible results in the near term and to define a developmental template for the long term.

The Program
Serve Rx is a serve mechanics intervention program. The program is primarily for players not training regularly at TCPR or affiliated programs. The focus is on advanced high-performance players seeking to convert a neutral or weak shot into a weapon. Emphasis may be on all, or any, of power, slice, power cut, kick and power kick serves.
This serve specific program is offered in training blocks. A block is composed of five hours (5×1 hour sessions) of on-court instruction with Dr. Gordon. Included is a Pre and Post block video analysis. The goal is to obtain substantive improvement to the core serve mechanics for immediate improvement and future development.
Specific drills and exercises will be assigned during and after the training block. Quantifiable metrics such as speed, accuracy and consistency will be established to define a road-map of goals. A one month follow-up session is included (virtual session or on-court) to ensure compliance and progression. Contact Dr. Brian Gordon below.
